After finishing Estonian Academy of Arts Cultural Heritage Protection and Conservation BA programme I continued my studies abroad in LiU Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies. This short article “Experiences from the Furniture Culture Alleys Across the Seas” is an attempt to reflect and collect some highlights of my journey over the past three years on a few pages. Apprenticeship opportunities in Djursholms Möbelkonservator AB, Dicent AB and The Wallace Collection have enriched my toolkit and enhanced practical skills. Besides the furniture in the broadest context, my present interests include tacit knowledge transmission and expert learning.
