Place: Tartu Art Museum, 16.09. – 08.11.2015

The aim of the exhibition was to let the people see the art object from a different angle than usual and to let them know that a painting or a drawing could expose much more information than they are used to seeing, therefore the backsides were shown. It is a world inhabited every day by art historians, collectors and museum workers, but remains mostly hidden to the regular visitors. Although the exhibition did not concentrate on conservation issues directly, it talked about different sides of conservation work: visual inspection, comparison, research and cooperation.
