The poster shows a collaboration project between memory institutions and conservators concerning techniques of working with photographic reproductions and finding the most suitable storage conditions for them. The photographic reproductions in the project are architectural drawings, cartography or technical drawings that are produced before the invention of electrostatic photoreproduction (xerography). The copyies were made in contact printing process in which the photosensitive support has been exposed to ultraviolet light through original image on translucent paper.

Memory institutions have little experience in dealing with such reproductions and they have not given too much thought to the problem. The main problems have been the low quality of the support material (paper), photosensitivity of the image and of how to grant suitable storage conditions.
